The exhibition is under the auspices of the French Embassy. Laurence Auer, French Ambassador of Greece, who will honor the opening of the exhibition with her presence. The exhibition is curated by Myrto Kontomitaki, museologist and art historian.

This is a landmark exhibition, which celebrates human relationships, an encounter with art, through the works by two artists, so different but with so many common values and ideals.

The collection of the “Monastery of Karolos” Museum, among other masterpieces, also includes works by the Greek visual artist Alekos Fasianos, a small part of the huge collection, slowly and steadily built by the visual artist and celebrity hairdresser, Charles (Karolos) Kampelopoulos.

This exhibition aims to awaken the mind with the visual dialogues between the works of these two artists, while at the same time leaving it to the absolute discretion of each viewer to imagine, to tell a fairy tale or to wonder about any scenario of coexistence between two very unique and creative visual minds: the widely known, acclaimed Alekos Fasianos and the lesser known but undoubtedly charismatic, talented Karolos Kampelopoulos.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
