Enjoy the colourful mosaic of the bazaar and the Lenten delicacies in the picturesque tavernas and cafes of the  main square in Voukoulies!
Friday, 18th April, from 9.00 am until late afternoon.

The Municipality of Platanias invites you again this year on Good Friday, April 18, to the established traditional meeting, at the Voukolies Bazaar, in the Municipality of Platanias.
The Historical Good Friday Bazaar is a tradition directly linked to the local economy and customs of our country, dating back to the late 19th century.
The Easter markets from dozens of street vendors, the Lenten snacks in the picturesque taverns of the square, combined with the gathering of friends and acquaintances, have been composing the colorful “mosaic” of the bazaar for years now.

This Good Friday Bazaar has a tradition of more than 160 years.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
