Public Sector strike action, Wed 16th June

There is a 24-hour public sector strike scheduled for Wednesday 16th June.

This will affect public offices and transport, including ferries.

The teachers union has agreed that secondary school teachers are exempt from the strike action due to the students upcoming exam period, which affects the university entrance.

Current announcement:

GSEE (Private Sector Workers Union): work stoppage from 13:00 to 17:00
ADEDY (Public Sector Workers Union): 24- hours strike
All ferries will remain docked at the country’s ports for 24-hours.
There are extra stoppages affecting the Athens and Attiki area rail connections.
Due to the Attiko Metro strike (from 10am to the end of the shift) and the OSE Suburban Train (work stoppage from 12:00 to 16:00), getting to and from Athens International Airport during the hours of the strike will be by the X-BUSES which will be working from 13:00 to 17:00, or by taxi.
