A unique celebration of the 7th Art is taking place in Chania Crete and no one should miss it. So, get ready for Chania Film Festival! This international festival is a meeting point for directors, producers, and actors.
More than 150 films covering a wide range of content, as well as film art. Fiction and documentary, short and feature films and a significant number of animations.

The festival starts on 24th October 19.30 with the film “The Suspended Step of the Stork” (“Το Mετέωρο Bήμα Tου Πελαργού”) directed by Theo Angelopoulos (1991). Starring: Marcello Mastroianni, Jeanne Moreau. Music by the Greek composer Eleni Karaindrou.

One of the Greek Premieres is Dance Fight Love Die – With Mikis on the Road by Asteris Koutoulas. From a footage of about 600 hours filmed for over 30 years, the director creates a 90 minute profile that describes the great composer Mikis Theodorakis.
The screening will take place with the presence of the director and film crew.
