WHEN: 22nd October at 21:00
WHERE:Center for Mediterranean Architecture, Venetian Harbour, Chania22 October Music of the Images

Free entrance.

The artists present a musical journey from the American Cinema of the Interwar War period (1920-1940) and the cinematic musicals of the 1950s to the music theatre, the award-winning  soundtracks, as well as arias of classical music associated with scenes of beloved films of the 1980s. The musical journey ends with distinctive melodies of the Greek cinema, from the beginnings  until the 1960s.
A journey through the music of the cinema, as Manos Hadjidakis once said, is the one that “preserves the image, interprets it, while painting wishes and remembering ours and our personal identification with the aspects of a black and white dream of thirty-five millimeters.”

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
