It is the first time that the life and work of this great Greek, Nikos Xylouris, is presented on stage in a high-profile production with a large troupe and the participation of important theater and music artists.
Thus, the “Archangel of Crete” as he was called, comes to life on stage in a performance with live music, unpublished photographic material, precious audio documents and narration. It is an experiential experience that unites testimony, art and emotion.
The work attempts to introduce the figure of Xylouris not only as a voice-symbol, but as the inner universe of a man who sang with the soul of a people .
Viewers have the opportunity to enjoy Xylouris’ iconic songs in new orchestrations by Andreas Katsigiannis , while the Cretan program of the performance is musically curated by RossDaly !
