Concert: Manolis Karantinis in Chania 6th November

Manolis Karantinis is a musician, composer and astonishing bouzouki virtuoso from Athens, Greece, famous for his unique style of playing.
The musical performance by the bouzouki soloist Manolis Karantinis  will take place on 
Wednesday, 6th November, at 21.00 in the unique historical Cafe  Kipos, Tzanakaki 82, Chania.

Manolis Karantinis is considered by many to be the leading bouzouki player today. He, however, is not in favour  such talks.
 “People know and those who say it. The point is whether you touch the other’s soul”, he commented in an interview with Haniotika Nea.

The concert will feature songs performed by younger and older outstanding Greek  singers such as  Voskopoulos,  Kazantzidis, Bithikotsis,  Dalaras,  Dionysiou, Parios,  Β.Moscholiou, X. Alexiou, R. Sakellariou, A. Protopsalti, D. Galani et al. 
Songs written by leading composers such as M. Theodorakis, M. Hadjidakis, G. Zambetas, M. Chiotis, Akis Panou, Chr. Nikolopoulos, G. Spanos, St. Kraοunakis, M. Loizos, M. Tοκασ et al.

Manolis Karantinis will sing himself, too, and at the same time playing ταξίμια.(see below) He will be joined on stage by his permanent collaborator in singing, Aggeliki Iki Petkou, and the conductor of major productions, director of the Athens Conservatory and pianist Giorgos Pagiatis.
