PROGRAM OF CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONAL ANNIVERSARY of 28th October 1940 (OXI Day) – Tavronitis 28th October

28th October 2023 is Oxi Day, a national holiday in Greece.
Traditionally, Oxi Day is celebrated with parades, flag decorating and wreath laying at various military memorials.
Celebration in Tavronitis:

10:00 Doxology at the Holy Church of Myrtidiotissa
Afterwards at Tavronitis Beach memorial service and wreath laying  at the monument for the fallen.
Student Parade with the participation of Tavronitis Primary School-Kindergarten and EPAL (vocational evening school).
The community invites all of you to take part!

I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike.
