OXI Day Celebration in Kissamos 28th October

The Municipality of Kissamos invites you to join the celebration of the national anniversary of 28th October 1940.
The program in detail:

07:00 in the morning, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Kissamos “Irenaios Galanakis” and a choir of residents will sing the aubade in the streets of Kissamos.
07:00-10:00 Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of Theotokos.
10:30 official doxology at the MetropolitanChurch, followed by a speech about the importance of the anniversary by Mrs. Koutsouli Maria, Director of the 1st Primary School of Kissamos.
11:30 memorial service for the fallen at Tzanakaki Square, wreath laying, observance of a minute of silence, National Anthem by the Philharmonic of the Municipality of Kissamos.
12:00 parade of students (from Kissamos and villages of the region), the Red Cross, clubs and associations in Skalidi street, in the presence of the city authorities. The parade is accompanied by the Philharmonic “Irenaios Galanakis”.
Cretan dances by dance groups will follow at Tzanakaki Square.
