Concert: “My Beautiful Smyrna” by the Vamos Orchestra – Chania 22nd June
The Vamos Orchestra honours Refugee Creators from Asia Minor on the occasion of 100 years since the destruction of Izmir (Smyrna).

The concert is organised by the Region of Crete – Regional Unit of Chania, Municipality of Chania , KAM, and the Brotherhood of Asia Minor of Chania Prefecture “O Agios Polykarpos”, with the help of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Chania.
The Vamos Ensemble is a symphony orchestra composed of sixteen musicians residing in Crete. They first appeared eight
years ago and have as a base the village of Vamos in Chania. Through their particular orchestrations, they create their own distinctive sound and perform music of the world, with the authenticity and spontaneity of the musical ensemble.
