Authentic Crete Festival – Neriana 27th June

This festival is organized by the newly established Social Cooperative Enterprise of the Municipality Platanias, by students and teachers of the Vocational Evening School Platanias with the support of Crete Hinterland page  with the aim to strengthen and promote  the Inland.

WHEN: Monday, 27th June : 17:30 – 23:30
WHERE: Main Square of Neriana (5km south of Tavronitis)
Admission : FREE

It will be a festival of flavors where the producers and hosts of the Prefecture will meet visitors, both locals and foreigners in search of authentic traditional flavors from quality producers.

Also the Graduation Celebration of the students of the Vocational Evening School will take place.

The evening will end with music by  Markos Renieris and Giannis Polychronakis & their band.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
