Beach cleaning Drapanias – 5th February

The Civil Protection of the Municipality of Kissamos, the Red Cross (Kissamos section), the Youth of Kissamos and the Cultural Association Drapanias, call for volunteers for  the voluntary  beach cleaning action at the beach of Drapanias on Saturday 5th February.

‘Relying on your voluntary spirit and ecological conscience, we ask for some of your precious free time to clean the shore from the solid waste (wood, plastic) that has accumulated due to the recent shipwreck’.

Starting point at the Town Hall of Kissamos,Beach Clean Drapanias 14.30 p.m.

(Bags and gloves will be provided).

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.

  • Lydia, do you know if we can drive directly to the beach ?
    Or do we have to meet at the Town Hall ?
