Art exhibition “When art meets marine life” – Chania 16th – 25th October

This art exhibition of George Nikolaos Blazakis takes place from 16th to 25th October , in the Hammam on the Kastelli Hill of Chania, Katre Street.

Opening hours:  Saturday, 16th October:  18: 00-21: 00, from  17th until 25th October the exhibition will be open from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00.

Entrance: free

The works that will be exhibited are sculptures (images of marine life)  made of transparent silicone.

This is an amateur work which started from the artists’s love for the sea. His first contact with this particular material was the construction of silicone baits without mould, which came from his interest in fishing.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute.
