Where to get PCR & Rapid tests for travel in Chania area & West Crete
As Greece plans to reopen for tourism, many travellers will need to get a PCR test in Greece before their journey back, depending on the requirements of their home countries.
If you are in West Crete and you need a PCR test for travelling, the following information may be useful. In general, the best way to contact clinics is by phoning them. Most clinics will have someone who speaks English available. You will need to make an appointment for a PCR or rapid test, don’t just turn up. You will need to bring your passport with you. Clinics offering PCR tests will also offer rapid tests, the approximate cost is €30 for rapid tests (also called Lateral Flow tests), and results are available in around 20 minutes.
Remember that if you are calling from a non-greek phone you will need to include the country code (+30 or 0030).
