Chania Film Festival: “Nostos” – 29th October
The film Nostos chronicles the contemporary odyssey of three young Greeks, both carried and crushed by a prestigious heritage, which is facing a crisis of modernity.
WHEN: 29th October 22.00
WHERE:
Cultural Centre, Andrea Papandreou 74, Chania
Entrance: free, but the CFF collects long-term food and medicines for vulnerable groups in Chania (optional).
About the film:
Greece: a modern tragedy is playing out. Driven by the crisis, Giorgos and Anna have left to try their luck abroad. But, like Ulysses, the ancient hero, the nostos, the return, haunts them. Dimitris has decided to return to his country. He has returned “in resistance” to defend his homeland. But is Greece still a country that one can return to?
