SPORT: International Psiloritis Mountain Race 2nd June

The International PSILORITIS RACE takes place on Sunday 2 of June, starting  from the Nida plateau of the Psiloritis mountain. (35 km from Rethymno) :
35 km race, 8.5 km race,  nordic walking and children’s race.

The race is organized by the non-profit company “Race Psiloritis.”

“The race trail covers the distance that pilgrims of the sacred city of Minoan Knossos used to walk in order to climb Psiloritis mountain and honor their god, Zeus Cretagenes. Today, Psiloritis Race links the myth with contemporary history as the runners will follow the traces of their ancestors on the holy mountain of Zeus Cretagenes”.
