The saxophone player presents compositions from his latest work “Northern Lights” inspired by the beauty of nature, the endlessness of the space-time continuum and the quietness of the sea. His personal approach in music distinguishes him as one of the most interesting musicians in the Athenian scene with exceptional reviews from critics and musicians throughout the world.
As a composer he is considered by critics as one of the best in Greece , and his music has been called “provocative and inspiring” [Jason Yarde], “full of original ideas” (Jack Walrath)

Kassetas has performed with many great artists of the international scene, as the Clarence Penn, Miles Griffith, Ullysses Owens Jr. and George Kontrafouris, and Apostolos Sideris.He has participated in many festivals in Greece and abroad, such as the European festival of Athens and the Choumakao jazz festival in Puerto Rico.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
