Concert: “Crete Loves Life” (Ross Daly Quintet)- Raising awareness for the threats of modern life style – Chania 30th June

A concert aiming at raising awareness for the threats of  modern lifestyle, dedicated to the victims of  modern way of life as they are tragically recorded every day.

Venue: Eastern Moat Theatre, (Theatro Anatolikis Tafrou), Chania

Date: Sunday, 30th June  20.30
Free entrance.

“Traffic accidents, over-consumption of alcohol by children and adolescents, cigarette smoking and passive smoking, shootings, and the  unnecessary use of weapons…. The harsh everyday life of our island does not represent modern Cretan culture. That is why, because we care about our place, we unite our voices, and we work together to raise awareness and try to change behavior.

At this event also the winners of the  “Mantinada Contest” will  be awarded. This contest was specifically launched to address the  threats mentioned above.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
