Beach cleaning activities – Tavronitis & Rapaniana 7th and 8th June

Beach cleaning iSEAOn the occasion of  the World Environment Day, 5th June,  the Environmental Conservation Organization iSea is organising, among others, the following actions :
7th June 10.00, Delta Tavronitis Beach

8th June 10.00, Rapaniana Beach ( Kolymbari).

Everyone is welcome!

TRANSPORT FROM CHANIA:
For the cleanup action on Saturday, June 8 at Rapaniana beach, a bus will be available to transport all the participants for free to and from the beach! We’ll meet at 9:15 a.m. to depart from Palaia Agora  (35.513880, 24.020476) in Chania !

“We strive to make our Costal Cleanups as much as possible zerowaste, that’s why we use reusable gloves and bags!
Participating volunteer groups, among others:
DEDISA (green team of volunteers of public waste management company), ARCHELON (Sea Turtle Protection Society, EVA CRUISES (boat rental company), POSEIDON (football team Kamisiana /Rapaniana)

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
