A musical narrative worth seeing, with exceptional interpretations that awaken memories from unforgettable homelands.
“There are still people in this corner of the Mediterranean who smell the smoke of the Smyrna waterfront, every time they hang out their clothes. …All this linked to the recent images of the refugees in the Aegean islands gave a meaningful outlet to the old work.
To all companions, Michaela Zambanini, Irin Tzahilis, CHROES and musicians, I express my love and gratitude. “Dimitris Sfakianakis, musician.

The musical ensemble “XROES” was founded in 2004 in Heraklion, Crete where it is still based. Its main goal is to bring together both professional musicians and, above all, a broad circle of amateurs who wish to collaborate in wider artistic operations. In the fourteen years of their development, they have presented a significant number of original projects. Most of these works are circles of songs and speech by the musician Dimitris Sfakianakis, artistic director of the group.
