Exhibition: “Wooden toys made of dreams” – Chania 7th – 10th August

WHEN: 7th -10th August
Opening hours: 10.00-14.00 & 18.00-23.00
WHERE: CAM – Centre for Mediterranean Architecture, Venetian Harbour, Chania

About the exhibition:

“The story began in the centre of Barcelona, in the “Street of the Princess”.  It continued in Tsia where we made our first mock-up from a basket of cookies from the grocery store.  In the following years, on the island of Ios we did excavation work and in the afternoons we designed our games – surrounded by the blue of the Aegean Sea and the sky, ‘toys made of beach and dreams’.

The wind of the Aegean travels away!
From Chania, our games travel all over the world. We cooperate with stores in Europe (Greece, England, Ireland, France, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Sweden), USA (California, New York, Mississippi, Alaska, New Jersey …), Australia, New Zealand, Japan , South Korea, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

And we still dream of a workshop in front of the sea, with wide-open windows to get the salty air in, to mix with our ideas and music, and to make wooden games of dreams for many more years …

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
