Walk in Latziana, 11th October

Latziana is a tiny village not far from Voulgaro. This is a circular walk, passing through Mouri, not very long at about 5km, but goes steeply upwards for a while at the start of the walk and a shorter climb later on. It is all on wide tacks except for a short stretch though an olive grove and a short scramble up to a road. At the start are the remains of a small Byzantine monastery. There are nice views toward Topolia Gorge and to the sea. We can sort out a lunch venue afterwards, either in Voulgaro or heading back into Kastelli.

Start of walk: By Agia Varvara ancient and new churches in Latziana, near Voulgaro.

Starting Time: 11.00am

Meeting Point:  As there is very little parking at Latziana, can I suggest we meet at the parking area in Kaloudiana village. Kaloudiana is on the old road from Koleni and is the last village before Kastelli.
