Fires in Falassarna
A large fire started in Falassarna, in the area known as Kavousia, near to Platanos, the afternoon of 11th October. Not helped by the hot, strong winds the fire spread quickly and burned a large swathe of land, continuing into the night, the smoke being visible from Kastelli.
Reports now indicate that the fire is under control (morning of 12th October).
