6th Festival ‘Land – Culture – Tourism’ by Municipality of Platanias 25th &26th September

It is the season of the grapes!
The Municipality of Platanias invites you to learn about wine and tsikoudia making, to taste wine, wine-based products, dairy products and a variety of other Cretan treats.

Where and when:

25th September: 10.00 Vouves at the ancient olive tree.
The Little Train with hotel guests will be there.

From there you the route continues to a Cretan farmer’s vineyard where you can participate in picking grapes and the procedure of winemaking as well as other products based on grape juice. You will enjoy the traditional food preparation of the local women.
Until about 12.00.

19.30  to 22.30 in Platanias at the Main Square:
Experience the traditional Cretan coffee house atmosphere, tasting of Cretan products.
Participation in the production of wine and raki.
Live music and dancing.

26th September 19.30 – 22.30
at the OLEA Mall in Platanias:

Tasting of Cretan wine and dairy products.
Getting to know the making of tsikoudia (Cretan raki).
