Musicians, dancers and puppeteers  from Azerbaijan, ‘the country of fire’,  are touring Crete.
‘A marriage’ of  Cretan and Azerbaijani  traditional music, TOMORROW 1st June in CHANIA

Artists:
Rashad Ahmadzada, Shanin Alkhazov, Chinara Mammadova, Elnara Mammadova, Ulviya Piraliyeva, Aydan Guliyeva, Lina Mammadova, Rauf Zeynalov, Javid Allayarov, Kamal Nuriyev, Ogtay Sharifov, Nijat Aslanov, Iqbal Aliyev, Rahim Rahimov, Javid Ibrahimov , Gurban Masimov, John Papatzanis, Zacharias Spyridakis Dimitri Sideris, George Zacharioudakis.

The performances are organised in collaboration with the Municipalities of Crete and the Azerbaijan Embassy of Greece.

Location: Firkas Fortress, Old Harbour

Time: Wednesday 1st June at 9pm

Rethymnon: Fortezza Fortress. Thursday 2nd June at 9pm

Heraklion: Nikos Kazantzakis Theatre. Friday 3rd June at 9pm

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
