Kissamos Fun Run – STIRIZO

We ran, and it was fun!

A small team from Kissamos News took part in the recent Fun Run and charity event “STIRIZO” / “(I support)” held to raise money for the special needs school of Kissamos. The organisers did a fantastic job, and there was a good turn out both for the run and the charity basketball match / hair donation.

The event finally raised €1,016, which will be used by the special school “EEEEK Kissamos”

The organisers have published the following message of thanks.

By the end of the charity event “STIRIZO”, we would like to thank everyone involved for yet another year to achieve this year’s goal of: coverage of Special Education and Training Laboratory needs (EEEEK) Kissamos .
In particular, we thank:
-The Welfare Corporation of the Municipality of Kissamos, for all the support.
-The Association Runners Chania Health, for the printing of commemorative gifts, the gift of a bicycle and the offer of the apse of the race start.
-The Volunteer group “Kisamitises moms.”
-The Football gymnastics association “KISSAMIKOS” and the sports football club “STORM Kalathenes” who gladly accepted to participate in the basketball game.
-The Cafe-tavern “Skasiarchieo” for ice and glasses donation offer.
-The Grocery “Η Μουρνιά” offered orange juice for all participants.
-Manolis Asgoudaki (Distribution and drinks-beverages trade), who supplied all participants with water bottles.
-The bike shop of Fournaraki Anthony, for the donation of a bicycle.
-The Funeral-funeral-memorial “Petrakis” office for printing commemorative diplomas of basketball game players, posters and requests to participate.
-The Dance school «Dance for you» Pananaki of Demeter for the show given at the basketball game.
-The Corps Volunteer Samaritans, Rescuers and Lifeguards TT Kisamos the Greek Red Cross, for health coverage.
-the Hairdressers Papantonakis Maria and Yannis Papadakis made hair donation to the association «Donate hair-donate love».
-The Police Kisamos part thanks to the governor and police officials, settled the question of traffic and there was police peripolisi throughout the race.
-The Photographic Group of Kisamos (F.O.K.) immortalized highlights from the event.
-the Presenters basketball game, Manolis Deroukaki and Georgilakis George.
-The Tzanis Fotakis, to create the TV spot.

And of course, all those who have strengthened and participated in the event. Thanks to this overall effort, we managed to collect the amount of 1.016 €, which will try to cover as many needs EEEEK Kissamos can.
