Easter 2016 Opening Hours

These appear to be the opening hours for this Easter – but there may well be variations as local shops, petrol stations and tavernas may decide to open for tourists – but don’t assume anything.

GOOD FRIDAY 29^th APRIL

Shops shut at 3pm

Supermarkets at 5pm

Museums check individual ones e.g. Knossos closes at 12pm

Tavernas most will be closed.

 

EASTER SATURDAY 30^TH APRIL

Shops shut at 3pm

Supermarkets at 5pm

Tavernas and Museums should be open.

 

EASTER SUNDAY 1^ST MAY

Shops, supermarkets, museums closed.   Petrol stations may be closed.

Tavernas  – some will be open

 

EASTER MONDAY 2^ND MAY

Shops, supermarkets, banks, post office, museums closed.

Some tavernas open

Some of the bigger museums/sights such as Knossos may be open, but Monday is the day smaller museums are closed generally.

 

TUESDAY 3^RD MAY

A replacement bank holiday for Labour Day as May 1^st is Easter.

Shops, supermarkets, banks, post office, museums closed.

Tavernas open

Museums may be closed so check.
