Walk from Ravdoucha to Nopigia

The walk is not difficult, with only short steep sections and some short downhill ones We walk across the cliffs above the taverna ‘Wave on the Rocks’ and then descend on a narrow, stony trail towards Nopigia, going through some scrabbly bits, and come out above some lovely small bays and beaches, and head towards the church at the end of Nopigia. The views are lovely.

Time: 11.00

Meeting Place: At Nopigia.   If coming from Chania, turn right at main crossroads at Nopigia, which is a few kilometres west of Kolymbari, on the main Ethniki (National Road), and is just after you come down the hill where you see the first view of the bay of Kissamos. If coming from Kissamos of course you turn left at these crossroads. This road leads to the coast, where it bends sharp right and you follow this road along by the sea. After a kilometre or two this turns into a good hard dirt road, which eventually leads to a church, with parking area.  We will meet here at 11.00 and divide up the cars. Then we drive back to Ravdoucha to start the walk.  When the walk finishes in Nopigia we can pick up the cars again and drive to Ravdoucha to get the remaining cars.
