Refugee Clothes Collection

Thanks to everyone for the clothes donated at the last ISKA meeting and at the talk the following week.   They are now sorted into types – e.g. jackets, trousers, scarves, gloves etc.  Tomorrow I’ll be taking them to the Cretan Corner coffee morning, where we will be sorting and boxing other donations ready for despatch.   There is a box of shoes and a large bag of scarves already in my car.   The new thermal tights and leggings will also be taken tomorrow.  There are now 5 people from the Chania region going to Lesvos next week to sort clothes at the warehouse.   86 euro of the money collected has been given to their fund for using in Lesvos, recorded as a donation from the Kissamos Area.
