Holiday in Kissamos on Saturday

Remember it is the nameday of the patron saint (St. Spiridon) of Kissamos this Saturday: 12 December.

Most shops in the town will be closed and there will be services at St Spiridon church in the centre of Kastelli as well as any others named after him. There will be a procession of the icons and relics of St. Spiridon through the town on Saturday around 10:30am.

Full program of events:


Friday, December 11
Time 5.30 pm .: Great Prelacy Vespers.
At 8 pm .: Holy Prayer.
At 10 pm .: Holy Vigil.

Saturday, December 12
Time 7am .: Matins – Divine Liturgy.
Time 10.30 am .: Procession of the Holy and miraculous icons and relics of Saint Spyridon
Time 11.30 .: A small reception at the adjacent Parish Center.
At 6 pm .: Presentation of the Book “150etiris Church of St. Spyridon Kastelli Kissamos” by philologist Mr. Basel Kourtaki in Faldameio Dwelling.
