Today, 16th July at 21.00, they present the film ‚Kazantzakis‘ (2017) by Yannis Smaragdis, the first Greek film director elected as a regular member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.

The film-biography is a tribute to NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS. The writer Nikos Kazantzakis said that his life was defined by his travels and dreams. These tracks were followed by the film. The presence of the Greek spirit, which represents great ideals, is intense. Freedom, power, creation, strong friendships – all of these elements make up a heartfelt sensation that will make you feel human, feel free. (IMDb)

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
