“Axion Esti” – Kissamos honors Mikis Theodorakis – Kissamos 14th July

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mikis Theodorakis, the Municipilaty of Kissamos honors the emblematic figure of the composer with a major anniversary event.
The event will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 7:30 PM, at Irineos Galanakis Square at the Kissamos City Hall.
The program will include greetings, short speeches, musical performances of works by Mikis Theodorakis by the Kissamos Philharmonic “Irineos Galanakis” as well as the symbolic planting of a myrtle tree in honor of the creator and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque.
Afterwards, in the courtyard of the 2nd Primary School of Kissamos, a major concert dedicated to the life and work of the great Greek composer will be held.
The Municipality of Kissamos invites you to attend and actively participate in this special evening of memory, emotion and music.
