Hiking afternoon – Vouves 10th November

The Municipality of Platanias, continuing the successful action “Hiking routes in the Municipality of Platanias”, organizes a circular walk on Sunday, 10th November in Vouves. 
WHERE: starting point at the Square of Kato Vouves
WHEN: 10th November, 14.45

The hikers will follow a circular and gentle route of about 4 kilometers, lasting 2-2.5 hours, through wooded areas, passing old fountains and churches. They will visit the  Agios Nikolaos Church, then the Kato Vryssi (Fountain of the Ottoman period) and continue through the path of the river bed to Ano Vouves and the Ano Vouves Fountain.

  Next stop at the Zoodochos Pigi Church and the Ancient Olive and the Olive Museum of  Vouves. They will pass by the house of the chieftain Captain Digrindis Trypautis with its impressive oak tree, then by the vaulted Loukoumiheli Fountain and return to the square of Kato Vouves. 
Light clothing, suitable shoes and water are recommended.

  The hiking activity will take place in collaboration with the Local Council and the Cultural Association of Vouves. 
The Red Cross department of Kissamos will accompany the participants for their safety.Source: Municipality Platanias
