Nikos Kazantzakis lived in an era which was marked by important events – both geopolitically and in the field of art. He was dedicated to writing and trying to get to know as many cultures as possible which inspired him.

The Vamos Orchestra organized a musical journey into this era: the time when Nikos Kazantzakis lived. An introduction to great musical moments that remained imprinted in the chronology of our culture. Greece – France – Germany – Russia – Italy – Spain, countries where Nikos Kazantzakis lived or visited. They give their credentials through great hits of that time: Attic, Edith Piaf, Nikos Skalkotas, Kurt Weill.

The texts that take us to the era of the great Cretan writer and describe situations and events are edited by the philologist Roula Vourakis.

Lydia

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
