Professional and amateur musicians gather and sing together, accompanied by a live orchestra, the most beloved songs of Mikis Theodorakis, in a short program lasting 40′. „We thus create a unique musical experience, a lifetime memory that radiates strength, culture and optimism.“
To prepare the action, 2 open rehearsals will be held at the Mikis Theodorakis Theatre, in the Venetian Port of Chania, on Saturday 26/8/2023 at 4.00 pm. and on Sunday 27/8/2023 at 10 am, under the supervision of Giorgos Saltaris, conductor of the evening.
The event „We are 1013″ as part of the “Mikis Theodorakis Festival 2023” is organized by the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Chania, KEPPEDIX – KAM and the Pancretan Association of Friends of Mikis Theodorakis.
