Tribute to Mikis Theodorakis: “Mikis narrates” – 27th July

A different performance this year, dedicated to Mikis Theodorakis, in form of a self-narration, with Ioanna Forti live on stage.
WHEN: 27th July  21.00
WHERE: Firka Fortress (Venetian Fortress, western end of Venetian Harbour), Chania 
Free entrance.
A performance the main feature of which are the charismatic narrations of Mikis Theodorakis, which we listen to through a multi-channel sound installation and soundscapes.
Ioanna Forti, a longtime collaborator of Mikis Theodorakis, and a four-member musical ensemble, perform live on stage.

The event is part of the Crete Festival organized by the Region of Crete.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
