Christmas events and activities – Municipality Kissamos (Platanos, Drapanias, Kissamos) 17th – 31st December
PLATANOS (outside the football pitch): SATURDAY 17 DECEMBER 18.30 : Christmas Boat Lighting
The event will start with games and activities for the children. Santa Claus will be with them!
Then the Christmas Boat will be lit.
The celebration will be accompanied by the dances of the Cultural Association “The Art of Dance” and the Association of Cretan Dances “THE KISSAMOS“.
The pupils of the Platanos Primary School will also participate.

DRAPANIAS: SUNDAY 18 DECEMBER 16.30: Christmas celebration
The Elf from the North Pole continues its wanderings and travels to Drapanias, spreading magic, joy and smiles to everyone through a unique Christmas show at the square of Agios Nikolaos. Children will be welcomed by Santa Claus and can enjoy face painting and other activities .
The pupils of the Primary School Drapanias and the Dance Group of Platanias will participate in the celebration.
KISSAMOS: FRIDAY 23 DECEMBER 19.30: The Night of Wishes
“We release our lanterns and fill the sky of Kissamos with wishes for Health, Love and Peace. A Night of Love and Offering for our Fellow Humans, that is why we are all invited to offer food items or add to the piggy banks, picking up our lantern from the 3 different collection points that will be set up along the coastal area of the town.
We offer joy and support to families and children in need, supporting the campaign of the Foundation Annousakeio. This humanitarian and social action is supported by the sports and cultural associations of our city, whose members will start from Eleftheriou Venizelos Square at 19.00 with their lanterns, for a beautiful Christmas Walk of Love. They will cross Skalidi Street then and end up at the Telonio beach”.

The Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra “Irenaios Galanakis” are performing in the streets of the town – festive melodies -, starting from the Kissamos Town Hall at 11.00.
