Street Festival for a good cause – Chania 19th – 31st August
The voluntary Association Orizontas in co-operation with the Municipality of Chania are organizing a STREET FESTIVAL with a photography exhibition and various events along Tsouderon Str. (Pedestrian Street)in the centre of Chania, including Tango performances, a book bazaar, animation films and more!
The Association of Voluntary Offering and Support “Orizontas” support children and adults suffering from cancer.
Detailled Programme:
Photo exhibition ‘Journey to Light’
24th August at 20.00 opening of the photo exhibition.
Venue: at the Orizontas Association’s Multipurpose Venue, at 38A Tsouderon Street.
Cocktails from Dash ‘N’ Drops Bar Catering and music (DJ Haris Pantelakis)

Voluntary blood donation
19th August, 9:00 – 14:00 /at the office of ZitaAlpha Photography (Tsouderon 34)
The voluntary blood donation will take place in collaboration with the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors of Chania Prefecture “St. Ioannis” and the Blood Donation Department of Chania General Hospital “St. George”

Tango performances by Frini and Dimitri:
Social Urban Dance, with five letters. Paired dance, which does not obey rules and choreographies, yet conveys the illusion of form. A story with five letters about two bodies that by definition are bound in an ephemeral and unique way.

Screening of Animation Films from Chaniartoon – International Comic & Animation Festival, animation short films, from the 6 years of the festival, from all over the world for young and old.

Entry to the Photography Exhibition is free and participation in all events is free.
By organizing the Street Festival, ORIZONTAS aima at cooperation between businesses and agencies, the promotion of local shops during the tourist season, the promotion of volunteering through events of a socio-cultural dimension, interacting with other volunteer groups and associations.
