QUARANTINE GUIDELINE

I. QUARANTINE INSTRUCTIONS

As far as the instructions for the end of the quarantine are concerned:
after 5 days of mild illness and as long as there are no more symptoms, the citizens can return to their daily activity with the condition of constantly wearing a high protection mask and strictly observing the basic rules of hygiene.

Epidemiological data show that after the 5th day, without symptoms and with the use of a high protection mask on all contacts, there is no risk of transmission.

Obviously the above does not apply to those who have symptoms.

Instructions in detail:

Covid-19 infected people – isolation:

-Stay in isolation for at least five days and avoid contact with other people.

-If there are no symptoms, discontinuation of isolation.

-If the fever continues without other symptoms, prolong the isolation inside your home.

Mandatory use of high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or double mask for at least another five days.

II.  Restrictive measures against the coronavirus currently in effect will be extended by another week to Sunday, January 23, the Greek Health Ministry announced on 12th January, following a meeting of the ministry’s committee of health experts.

These are the measures that had been put into effect on Thursday, 30th December.

The use of high protection face masks (KN95 or FFP2) is also mandatory for all passengers in all means of public transport, and highly recommended in crowded public areas, either outdoors or indoors.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And seven years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
