Synopsis: For 120 years in Mumbai, every morning, 5,000 Dabavalas – local food couriers – deliver hot meals from housewives’ kitchens to their husbands’ offices. In this delivery system, according to research from Harvard University, only one in a million of these packages can get into the wrong hands. The Lunchbox is the story of this mistake, which brings two strangers together: a young woman finds herself corresponding with a lonely employee, exchanging daily messages through food packages… .
