Concert: ‘Kyttaro Halepa honours Mikis Theodorakis’ – Chania 27th September

On Monday, 27th September at 20:30 there will be a live concert by “Kyttaro Halepa” in collaboration with the Municipality of Chania, in the impressive churchyard of the Saint Mary Magdalene Church,  Dagkli 8, Halepa /Chania

Entrance: free.But you are asked to bring food for the groceries of the Municipality of Chania and Kyttaro Halepa.
The latter is an association of the homonymous district of Chania that has been active  on issues concerning the local community and the schools in the area.
On 19th December  2011, the Grocery of Solidarity of the Cultural and Sports Association “Kyttaro Halepa” started operating. Since then, it has supported more than 120 families with serious financial problems.

About the concert:
This concert is a tribute to the active and creative life of Mikis Theodorakis. “My whole life and work can be interpreted and understood only in the light of the three words that nurtured me: Greece, Homeland, Freedom”, said the great composer.

Through voice and music Dimitra Ligopsyhaki (Aretousa) and Virginia Dokaki will bring to life  the 27 Sept tribute to Theodorakis Kyttaro Halepaconcerns that tormented Mikis until the end.
