International Festival: DANCE DAYS in CHANIA until 2nd August

The “ 11th Dance Days”,  comprising a variety of contemporary dance performances of international artists and workshops, take place in Chania at various locations until 2nd August.

The aim of the event is to promote the contemporary dance in the city of Chania,

Dance Days Chania was founded in 2011 by the  “Syn-Kinisi” (Co-Movement) Association of expressive dance during a profound socioeconomic and cultural crisis in Crete, a crossroad of Mediterranean cultures.

The intention is to host artists, choreographers and dancers from all over the world. The program includes performances, workshops, video dance screenings, lectures- conferences, and events for all ages. Dance Days Chania received the EFFE Label 2017-2018 & 2019- 2021 certification from the European Organization EFA.

Co-organizers  of the 11th Dance Days Chania :
the Region of Crete and the Municipality of Chania – KEPPEDIH-KAM, support of  the Ioannis F. Costopoulos Foundation, the Italian Institute in Athens, the Austrian Embassy in Athens and the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Culture of Cyprus.

Collaborating bodies are also the Ephorate of Antiquities of Chania and the 6th High School, 4th Lyceum, Evening High School and Evening High School of Chania.
