Cretan folk music with “Antama” – Vlatos 22nd July

Every Sunday evening, during July, August and September, a concert is held at the Vlatos Museum, Vlatos (16 km south of Kissamos, on the road to Elafonisi.)
This Sunday the group Antama will be performing, with Cretan folk music at the unique Vlatos Jazz venue.
Bar open at 7 pm, the concert starts at 8.30 pm till 11.00 pm.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.

    I look forward to meeting others in Crete who may share some of our interests. My husband Alan and I are both writers of non-fiction, and I am also a book-maker/artist. Apart from travel, our interests include the history and rich cultural traditions in this case of Crete, its arts and environment – particularly the flora and fauna.
