New measures for travel TO Greek islands, from July 5th

The Greek Deputy Civil Protection Minister Nikos Hardalias announced new measures relating to travel between the mainland and the islands, on Thursday.

As of Monday July 5th, travellers heading to the Greek islands will need one of the following documents:

a Covid-19 vaccination certificate,
proof of recent recovery from the virus,
a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure
or a negative rapid test conducted 42 hours before traveling.

Self tests are no longer accepted for travel.

There is an advisory suggestion that travellers (aged 12 and up) heading from the islands TO the mainland take a self test before their trip.
