Samaria Gorge reopens for summer 2021
Samaria Gorge reopened on June 12th 2021, as announced by the managing body for the Samaria National park.

The announcement follows:
“We would like to inform you that according to the decision of the coordinator of the Decentralized Administration of Crete, the start of operation of the National Park of the White Mountains (Samaria) route of the main path (Xyloskalo – Agia Roumeli) will take place from Saturday 12-6-2021 at 07.00 am. Crossing the path is a very painful process. The public is informed that it can only walk along the main path, that it must comply with the provisions of the National Park Operating Regulations, the content of the information signs, the health protocol against COVID 19 outdoors and the use of a mask is mandatory for employees and visitors in all areas.”
