Cleaning action in the Forest of Sellia village, Apokoronas

On Sunday, May 16, at 09:30, volunteers from the community group “Protect the villages of Apokoronas” gather again after a long time in the forest of Roupakias to clean an old path, about one kilometer long, from the vegetation, the fallen stones and any garbage, so that it can be added to the already existing ones.

The motivation is the large attendance of walkers and nature lovers on the cleaned and marked paths by the team, especially during the lockdown period, which gave many of our fellow citizens a way out for an escape and acquaintance with Cretan nature.

Bring with you: water, work gloves, closed shoes.

Safety rules will be followed when it comes to the pandemic, with masks and small workgroups at a safe distance so that there is no overcrowding!
