Ebike ride – Theriso gorge and cypress woods

Saturday 9am, April 17, 2021. Start from Perivolia, Chania.

A guided E-bike ride into the nature of Theriso gorge just outside Chania

From the outskirts of Chania, we watch the landscape change suddenly as we venture into the green gorge of Theriso, with rocky cliffs and lush vegetation.

We climb up the winding road with the ease afforded by the electric bikes. We arrive in Theriso village, where we have a break and stretch our legs in its spacious square.

Then we continue into the impressive cypress woods against the backdrop of the foothills of the White Mountains. We descend via the mountain villages of Zourva and Meskla, drinking at the mountain spring.

Finally, we return to the starting point amongst the orange and avocado trees of the valley, passing by lake Agia.

Meet in Perivolia, Chania at 9am on Saturday 17th April. Pickup from Kissamos, Platanias area and Chania town possible.

Due to current regulations, only 2 participants at a time are allowed. Special price for Kissamos News readers: 28€/person. Includes E-bike, helmet, guide.

Distance: about 40km. Estimated duration of the excursion: about 4 hours, including breaks.
