Changes to Coronavirus Restrictions: Greece returns to “tier” system
Starting on Saturday 30th Jan at 6am, there are changes to coronavirus prevention measures in place.
Greece is now dividing regions into “red” (severe lockdown) and “yellow” (surveillance)
The ‘red’ areas are considered at increased risk, and are subject to extra measures, while ‘yellow’ ones are under surveillance, based on the epidemiological data. At both levels there are some measures that apply for the whole country.
A reminder that updated information directly from the government, about all measures can be found (in Greek) at www.covid19.gov.gr
Measures that apply everywhere:
-
Use of mask indoors and outdoors.
-
Movements are restricted and allowed only with SMS – permission form for the six specified reasons.
-
Work with the minimum possible staff (by using rotation, teleworking) in both private and public sector.
-
Online learning for Higher Education Institutions (Universities).
-
Kindergartens, Primary schools and all Special Education schools at all levels, are open.
-
Supreme Courts and Special Courts open.
