Cyclist traversing Crete in memory of Suzanne Eaton

Cyclist Jana Novakova is currently 10 days into a cross-Cretan fundraising bike ride, starting from Kolymbari, via the West coast and finishing in Vai, in Lasithi province. She has undertaken the trip in memory of Suzanne Eaton, who was killed in West Crete last year.

Suzanne was an acclaimed scientist who had with her personality and intellect enriched the scientific community with her interdisciplinary skills. In Mrs. Eaton’s honour and in support of her legacy the Austrian Institute of Molecular Biotechnology  has initiated a memorial fund which aims to support the endeavours of young scientists in interdisciplinary topics as their discoveries are beneficial for all of humanity in treating illnesses.

Jana is fundraising for this memorial fund.
