Snorkel to WW2 shipwreck

An accessible, shallow shipwreck in clear waters.

We set off from Kissamos and head towards Falassarna, on the West coast.

We’ll give you a short history of the area and of the harbour of Phalasarna. This was the site of an ancient city and trade route stop.

We’ll walk together to a small cove – about 15 minutes on a rocky path – then we’ll snorkel out to the WWII transport ship wreck. You’ll be able to swim around and explore also the sea life around it.
The wreck lies in surprisingly shallow waters, making this fascinating site accessible without scuba equipment.

We’ll have a quick snack at the beach after the swim before we walk back to the car and return to Kissamos.
